big win & smiles to go around

on wednesday we beat ireland big in the 5th place semis! 40-3 : ) i was so happy that we came together and continued our upward climb of this tournament. It was really awesome to keep ireland out of the try zone, holding them at one penalty conversion.
after the game we watched the semis of the top 4 bracket at the sports park pub. it was fun to watch good rugby with other ruggers around. the matches were pretty decent-loved australia's defense. aside from the gay bashing from an ex-england prop, i had a wonderful night filled with rugby!

yesterday, i went into london for a very short trip and returned to campus for a presentation bbq and trading session. i couldn't see any of the presentation from where i was sitting, but i heard some thank yous above the crowd and clapping-i guess it was good : ) we started trading our rugby gear with other teams towards the end of the night. i traded for some nice rugby gear-i especially love my new south africa sweatshirt!

today brings a pretty typical day here on campus: breakfast, meeting, lunch, practice, ice bath, but then...we get to watch the british police play some of our usa rugger friends in a social match. i'm really excited to be able to get away from campus, see some friends, watch more rugby, and enjoy the evening : )

as rugbyland is coming to an end i'm really taking in all of the moments here and enjoying every piece of this secluded world..
