monday, monday

today marks the first day back since hell week. luckily, the schedule doesn't look like last week's did and our odds of survival are high. for now. we had a great lifting session this morning-really nice to lift without being sore or tired from other sessions.

we have a session with ric this afternoon which should be good.

dowty and i might learn how to knit this evening! there is a class in san diego that i want to take, so hopefully i won't be too tired to go.

ok off to practice-wish us luck!

Betty Crocker!

This week has been tough..to say the least. I mean, I'm using caps-something's clearly wrong. We started the week with a monday like no other. Every mental mistake meant sprints from try line to 22 and back..times 5-woof. We ran A LOT that practice. That afternoon we had an interval session. It wasn't quite as bad as the morning session, but we were all pretty dang tired afterwards.

Tuesday was lifting and another session with Ric. Lifting was hard for me, being so beat from the day before, and my power cleans saw the worst of it. Hopefully tomorrow's lift will be better..

Today was another tough one. We practiced with Ric this morning-a great session actually! This afternoon was our last interval session of the week-thank you lordy! We made it!! Well, there's still two days of training to go, but at least we won't be running 150s..I hope : /

Tonight is family night..I heart family night : ) Griff's in charge..and she's making brownies--shhh, don't tell Fontaine!

bmx rocks!

recovery week comes to a close..

but before we jump deep into intense training we must enjoy the weekend! this weekend contained the bmx world cup here in chula vista and the usa national championship races. it's been awhile since i screamed so loud and jumped so high (as a sub during rugby i try to conserve my energy-so no screaming and jumping). there were 40something women and 160something men competing for the first 2012 world cup title (i think there are 3 world cup stops this year). on sunday 8 women and 20something men competed for the national title.

our cheering section was dedicated mostly to amanda carr. we made signs and even a replica carr helmet. (lunde = crafter extraordinaire) there were a few moments of panic when bikers crashed or fell off the track. they even had to air lift someone to the hospital, scary times. but overall it was really, really fun!

i'm sad to see the weekend come to an end, but i'm excited to get going with some hard work this week. also, baby's coming to town!! finally : )
